Chronic Disease

These checks involve COPD, Asthma, Diabetes and Essential Hypertension. 

These reviews are held within the month of your birthday and are held every year to maintain your medication reviews. 

We will send out a letter to inform you when your review is due. 

Family Planning

Book a routine appointment with either a GP or a Contraceptive Nurse for some advice. 

Full family planning services are available, including insertion of the coil and the contraceptive implant.

Midwife

We no longer have a Midwife at the surgery. Please see the number below and they can arrange any appointments needed:

Minor Surgery

We offer minor op sessions with our GP’s but this has to be discussed during a routine appointment with one of out doctors who will then advise if it is needed. 

Please inform reception of this and we can add you to the list. 

Smoking Cessation

We have qualified nurses and healthcare assistants who can give guidance and advice to help you stop smoking. Please contact the reception team and ask for your first appointment, this will last 20 minutes.

A general health check are available as follows:

NHS Health check

• aged 40-74 (no other conditions, every 5 years)
• Well Woman
• Well Man
• aged 75 and over (who has not seen a GP in the last year)

General checks will be carried out as follows:

Blood pressure, blood tests (as appropriate), Height and Weight, Lifestyle advice, Tetanus status.

We are a Yellow Fever certified surgery and this is available for both our patient’s and those that are not registered.

There will be a £60 charge and this can be paid with either cash or cheque.
