Is the practice closed?

At the grange we have a closed – door policy. This means you WILL NOT be able to come to surgery to book an appointment, collect or order a prescription. Please phone us to book an appointment. You will need to provide the reception team with the details of your condition. A doctor will then deal with your concern by Phone/Video call where possible.

How do I get my prescription?

All prescriptions are now being sent electronically to your local chosen pharmacy. If you haven’t got a chosen pharmacy then call the surgery and a receptionist will be happy to help. Please don’t over order your medication, just request as you normally would.

What is the practice doing to ensure continuity or service?

We are meeting on a regular basis to discuss the latest updates and how we can help our patients. We are doing our best to meet all the guidelines to keep staff and patients safe.

I need a letter for my holiday cancellation. How do I get on?

Following RCGP advice please do not request GP letters for holiday cancellations in light of COVID-19. Airline provides should be looking towards national guidance as part of their policy as it Is a global issue.

Can I book an appointment to see a nurse?

At the surgery the nurses are only doing essential treatment. The nurse may have a telephone consultation with you or invite you down to the surgery. Please contact the surgery to book an appointment with the nurse.

Do I need to self-isolate?

If you’re living alone and develop a new continues cough,/Fever/loss in taste or smell then you must self-isolate for 7 days. If you live with others and someone in your household develops symptoms when the whole house must isolate for 14 days.

Do I need a sick note when Self- Isolating?

Please do not contact the surgery for a sick note if you’re self-isolating due to Coronavirus. For the first 7 days off work employees can self-certify so they don’t need any evidence for their employed. After that, employers may ask for evidence of sickness. Where this is related to having symptoms of coronavirus or living with someone who has symptoms the self-isolation note can be used to provide evidence of the advice to self-isolate. After answering some questions isolation note will be emailed to the user. If you don’t have an email address you can have to note sent to a trusted family member or friend.
